Rajveer, Paloma, & Avnish share heart-warming stories from the sets of Dono about how families became major support systems!

Rajveer Deol and Paloma starrer Dono directed by Avnish Barjatya has created a stir ever since its clutter-breaking trailer was launched in Mumbai. Dono was a quintessential Rajshri set! And it became a memorable and overwhelming experience for the debutants. The young guns who are foraying into Bollywood have recently shared how their respective families came on set during the film’s shoot, often on the most challenging of shoot days, and became the ultimate support system!

Sharing about Sooraj Barjatya’s support, Avnish shared, “Dad being there on set was the greatest strength for all of us and especially for me. In the most stressful of shoots, his reassuring presence meant the world to us. His advice on the smallest of things can make the biggest of differences. He’s also the greatest person to bounce ideas with. I was so lucky to have him there as a pillar of support throughout the film.”

Talking about Sunny Deol’s presence on the set, Rajveer shared, “Papa was on set with the family on the very first day, in fact, what made my day one on Dono so special was that he gave a clap for my very first shot. That will be my most cherished memory from this film always. Bade Papa (Dharmendraji) also came to the set, and he came on a day when I was very nervous. I was shooting my most difficult scene that comes before the interval, and he gave me surprise when he just walked in on the set unannounced, his being there gave me great confidence.”

Paloma also shared how her parents being on the set was not just a happy, but also a very emotional time for her. She said, “More than me, this was like the biggest dream come true for my parents. Seeing me on set, I could see the happiness in their eyes. Papa came on the set on the first day, and he was standing out throughout to support me. Seeing him there, I got very emotional and cried. Mom joined us on set multiple times, She was there to guide me on a day when I was shooting my first choreographed song. Family being around on Dono set, really made the experience worthwhile.”
