Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s starrer film, Laal Singh Chaddha, now has a new release date. The film will hit theatres on Valentine’s Day next year (February 14). Earlier, the movie was slated to release on Christmas, December 25, 2021. Aamir Khan Productions announced that the film’s release has been postponed to Valentine’s Day next year.
Announcing the new release date of Laal Singh Chaddha on social media, Aamir Khan Productions wrote, “We welcome the decision of the administration to allow cinemas to re-open from 22nd Oct. Due to the delays faced as a result of the pandemic, we will be unable to release our film Laal Singh Chaddha, this Christmas. We will now be releasing Laal Singh Chaddha on Valentine’s Day, 2022.”
In 2020, Kareena had shared a post with her co-star Aamir when she finished filming for the film, and wrote, “And all journeys must come to an end. Today, I wrapped my film Laal Singh Chaddha… tough times… the pandemic, my pregnancy, nervousness but absolutely nothing could stop the passion with which we shot, with all safety measures of course. Thank you @_aamirkhan and @advaitchandan for an intense yet poignant journey… thank you to my most wonderful team @avancontractor, @teasemakeup, @makeupbypompy, @poonamdamania, and the entire crew… @nainas89 you were missed. Till we cross paths again.”

Laal Singh Chaddha is a Hindi remake of the iconic Hollywood film, Forrest Gump. The blockbuster starred Tom Hanks in the lead role and was released in 1994. Besides Aamir and Kareena, Laal Singh Chaddha also stars Naga Chaitanya, Manav VJ, and Mona Singh. The comedy-drama film is directed by Advait Chandan and adapted by Atul Kulkarni. The film is produced by Aamir Khan productions, Viacom 18 studios, and Paramount Pictures.
