Director Rumi Jaffrey is all set for the release of his upcoming film Chehre, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles.
Talking about his experience directing Amitabh in the film, Rumi Jaffrey said Chehre is my fourth film with Amitabh Bachchan Ji. I have worked with him in two films as a writer and as a director. He is so disciplined, dedicated that there is no tension for the director on the sets. You will not feel like you have a senior actor, a superstar on your sets. He is always on time, very hard working and does not interfere with the director’s work.
Talking about the rest of the cast of Chehre, the director said that for any director, it is a dream cast. It has great actors. Annu Kapoor, Raghubir Yadav, Dhritiman Chatterjee, are all great actors. And the experience with them has been amazing.
Their discipline, the connection with the characters, the dialogue delivery, the rehearsals, I didn’t have to worry about anything because of these actors. Each of them has given their best performance.
The film is releasing in theatres amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which makes the director excited as well as a bit nervous.
He said that I am excited but also nervous. Because this is my first time trying to work on such a topic. Also, cinema halls across the country have been closed due to covid, which makes me a little nervous. We have made the film with a lot of hard work and dedication. Hope people appreciate it.
Chehre starring Amitabh Bachchan, Emraan Hashmi, Annu Kapoor, Krystle D’Souza, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Raghubir Yadav, Siddhant Kapoor and Rhea Chakraborty will hit the theatres on August 27.
