Amitabh Bachchan will be back on the big screen after a long hiatus in the mystery thriller Chehre. He says that the story of the film inspired him to take up the project.
The superstar revealed what attracted him the most to sign him for his upcoming film Chehre.
Big B said that the story of Chehre was with Rumi Ji for a long time and he always used to tell me that whenever we meet, he would like to narrate it to me. When I heard it, I immediately decided that I will be a part of this film.
The film is produced by Anand Pandit and directed by Rumi Jaffrey.
He said, people generally believe that if it is a Rumi Jaffrey film then it will be a comedy, but it is not! There has not been a subject that Rumi has chosen earlier and now that he has this. I am very happy to be a part of it.
The face cast also includes Emraan Hashmi, Annu Kapoor, Krystle D’Souza, Rhea Chakraborty, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Raghubir Yadav and Siddhant Kapoor. In the film, Big B and Emraan Hashmi will be pitted against each other in the game of justice and punishment.
The film Chehre will release in cinemas on August 27.
