Dhoom 3 is a 2013 Hindi-language action thriller film directed and co-written by Vijay Krishna Acharya, with Aditya Chopra writing and producing. Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Uday Chopra, and Jackie Shroff are among the cast members. It is the third and final entry in the Dhoom series, following Dhoom (2004) and Dhoom 2. (2006).
Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra reprise their roles as Jai and Ali, respectively, in the film. The adversary is played by Aamir Khan.
In supporting roles, Tabrett Bethell and Andrew Bicknell appear. This movie was the first Indian film to be released in the IMAX motion picture film format with Dolby Atmos surround sound on December 20, 2013. With exclusive IMAX DMR (Digital Re-mastering) technology, the film was digitally restored in the IMAX format and released in IMAX theatres across India and select global destinations.
In just ten days, the film grossed Rupees 4 billion (US$53 million), making it the ninth highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
The film was exhibited in the Celebrating Dance in Indian Cinema section of the 2014 International Film Festival of India. The film got mixed to positive reviews, with acclaim for the cinematography, music, action sequences, visual effects, and Khan’s performance, but criticism for the dialogues, storyline, length, and editing.
