Rajinikanth, born Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, is an Indian actor, film producer, and screenwriter best known for his work in Tamil cinema. Four Tamil Nadu State Film Best Actor Awards and a Filmfare Best Tamil Actor Award are among his many honors. He has been awarded the Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan by the Indian government (2016).

Rajinikanth reportedly received a remuneration of Rs 30 crore, making him Kollywood’s highest-paid star. He was reportedly paid Rs. 23 crores for Enthiran, according to a report. According to reports, AGS will pay the actor Rs. 46 crore for his next film.
Rajinikanth’s acting career began with a brief period of portraying adversarial roles in Tamil films after his debut in K. Balachander’s 1975 Tamil drama Apoorva Raagangal. Rajinikanth attended the Gavipuram Government Kannada Model Elementary School in Bangalore for his primary education. Rajinikanth worked as a coolie after finishing his schooling before joining the Bangalore Transport Service (BTS) as a bus conductor. At the 45th International Film Festival of India in Goa in 2014, he received the “Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of the Year.”
