Nikkhil Advani talks about the women of the show ‘The Empire’

When we talk or think about historical and periods drama, the first thing that comes to mind is all the king’s horses and king’s men.

Producer Nikkhil Advani said that his upcoming series is also based on a historical drama.

This series is all about women and how they manipulate the fortunes of the kings and emperors.
The fiction drama “The Empire” is the story of a warrior-turned-king based on books by Alex Rutherford.

This book was written by two authors, Diana Preston and her husband Michael Preston.

Nikkhil Advani speaks about the women of ‘The Empire’.

The authors were known for their six-book historical fiction series Empire of the Moghul.

The story revolves around the first Mughal emperor of India who ruled between 1526-1530 AD.
While talking about the making of the show, Nikhil said that the first book of Alex Rutherford tells about Babar.

From the rest of the six books, we will get to know traces of the entire empire.

The story revolves around the actor Kunal Kapoor, who is playing the role of the King of the series.

Actresses Shabana Azmi, Drashti Dhami and Dino Morea will also be part of the series.

The show is not just limited to kings and kingdoms. Women characters are extremely important for this show.

Shabana Azmi will play the character of Esan Daulat, grandmother of King Babur.
Esan Daulat is the powerful head of a royal family.

TV actress Drashti will play the role of a warrior princess and sister of Babur, Khanzada.
The story was created by Nikkhil Advani of Emmay Entertainment.

Mitakshara Kumar has directed the show. The show will release only on Disney+ Hotstar soon.
