Raj Kundra gets relief from Bombay High Court, yet not Released from Jail

On July 19, the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police arrested Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra for making obscene videos. Since then Raj is in judicial custody. But now, he has got a big relief in a case from the Bombay High Court. The Bombay High Court has granted interim protection to Raj from arrest in the 2020 obscenity case till Wednesday. The matter will now come up for hearing on August 25.
Raj Kundra had approached the High Court last week seeking anticipatory bail. After which now this decision has come. However, He will not be able to come out of jail. At present, Raj is in judicial custody in the porn film racket case.

Raj Kundra has got this interim protection in the case of November 2020. In this case, the Mumbai Sessions Court had cancelled the interim bail, after which he had approached the High Court to get relief from arrest. Last time the court had rejected his bail plea. Raj filed an appeal for relief from the High Court against this decision. In his petition, he had said that his name was not included in the FIR registered by the cyber police last year.

Raj Kundra said that he had also given his statement to the police and had also visited the investigator’s office on several occasions to cooperate in the investigation.

A Special Investigation Team was constituted by the Mumbai Crime Branch to investigate the pornography case.
Raj has been considered by the Mumbai Police as the main conspirator. Whereas, many people including models Gehana Vasisth and Sherlyn Chopra have been questioned in this case. There have been many revelations in this matter so far.

At the same time, Shilpa Shetty was also questioned in this matter at her Juhu home. Shilpa has returned to the show amid reports of Shilpa Shetty being dropped as a judge from ‘Super Dancer’. According to reports, Shilpa Shetty has once again started shooting for ‘Super Dancer’ from today. Shilpa Shetty will again be seen as a judge on Sony TV from this weekend.
