SR Kalyanamand: Tollywood Movie Review of Father & Son

According to experts, SR Kalyanamandapam is an emotional father and son story that can be much better. This film is directed by Sridhar Gade. Kiran Abbavaram, Priyanka Jawalkar, and Sai Kumar are the star cast of the film.

The writer of the film is Kiran Abbavaram, who is also the male lead has written about role reversal. The father role is totally as a loafer whereas the son is the guardian. Sai Kumar has played the role of a father who is a stubborn drinker. His wife insults him and never respects him as he doesn’t know that how to keep family property safely. Also, his son didn’t speak with him for ten years. So, the story tells how the son will handle this situation and how he will bring his father’s respect back. He tries to bring their family’s prestigious wedding hall, and this is the climax of the story.

Kiran who played the role of Kalyan is a college student whose only distraction is Sindhu (Priyanka Jawalkar). Girl’s belly is the obsession of Kalyan as he always gets hypnotized by her size and shape of the waistline. The film has a lot of romantic scenes and occasionally slapping scenes where the girl beats Kalyan.

The conflict happens when the stubborn father and son get divided. Also, it has a misconception plot that becomes the classic love story that needs Sid Sriram music after the interval. The love story is ineffective, especially the way Sindhu resolves the dispute in the pre-climax part.

The wedding hall which is owned by Kalyan’s family is also having a spiritual history of its own. In a scene where Kalyan and his friends become wedding planners is not looking presentable as they start to do multi-tasking. There is a monologue of Kalyan where he tells how the post-2000s weddings become faded and then immediately one female student picks to do her marriage at his wedding hall.

Every time someone gets angry in the film. The heroine’s boyfriend is appeared to look like a semi-joker. Srikanth Iyengar played the role of greedy money-lender who appears as a parody in the cliched third act. The enemies have an appearance of the 1980s. Their performances break the old-school comparisons.

It is said by the critics that the film has an unnecessarily long duration which was not needed. The film has broad humor the involves the hero and one of his extravagant friends. Telugu movie SR Kalyanamandapam has plots that are convincing to the viewers, also it has improved Tollywood’s interest in college friend’s comedies.

For the cinematography, a credit will go to Viswas Daniel, and music is done by Chaitan Bharadwaj. In the situation of sadness and guilt, Kiran’s performance is excellent. Also, the film conveys the message of parenting.
