Anant Mahadevan directed Aksar, which was produced by Narendra and Shyam Bajaj under the name of Siddhi Vinayak Creations, which was released in 2006. Emraan Hashmi, Udita Goswami, and Dino Morea play key roles in the film. It incorporates Himesh Reshammiya’s song “Jhalak Dikhlaja,” which has also been remixed for the promotion.
On November 21, 2017, Aksar 2, a sequel with a new storyline and cast, was released. Ricky (Emraan Hashmi) is a flirty womanizer who wears his heart on his sleeve as a famous fashion photographer. He gets a call from Sheena (Udita Goswami) one day, asking him to meet her. When they arrive, they get into a fight about Sheena’s friend Nisha (Tara Sharma), who was sad and contemplating suicide after Ricky used and dumped her.
Finally, as a gesture of his affection, Raj presents Nisha with the property documents. As the perplexed cop stares at Raj and Nisha in the car, Raj nonchalantly throws the stress ball at him and says, ‘Aisa to aksar hota hai’.
Himesh Reshammiya composed all of the tracks, and Sameer wrote the lyrics. Three versions of the song “Jhalak Dikhlaja” were released. The soundtrack album for this film was the seventh best-selling album of the year, according to the Indian trade website Box Office India, with about 15,00,000 units sold.
