Krrish was the fourth-highest-grossing film of 2006, collecting over 69 crore net in India alone, earning it the title of ‘Blockbuster’ from Box Office India. It also became a ‘hit’ in the global market, grossing Rs. 31.68 crore. The entire international gross came to 126 crores.
Rakesh Roshan directed and produced Krrish, a 2006 Indian Hindi-language superhero film. Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra star in the film, which also features Naseeruddin Shah, Rekha, Manini Mishra, Archana Puran Singh, and Sharat Saxena.
It is the sequel to Koi Mil Gaya in the Krrish franchise, and it tells the narrative of Krishna, the son of the previous film’s heroes, who inherited his father’s superhuman skills. After falling in love with Priya, he pursues her to Singapore, where he adopts the alias ‘Krrish’ to conceal his true identity while rescuing children from a burning circus.
He is considered as a superhero from that point forward, and must subsequently prevent the wicked Dr. Arya’s ambitions, who has a connection to Krishna’s father, Rohit, the protagonist of the previous film. Krrish was intended to be a global phenomenon and a forerunner in Indian cinema, with visual effects on par with those seen in Hollywood.
The stunts were choreographed by Chinese martial arts film master Tony Ching, while the effects team was supported by Hollywood’s Marc Kolbe and Craig Mumma. Rajesh Roshan composed the music, and Salim-Sulaiman provided the background score. Filming took place in both Singapore and India to a considerable extent.
