Is Veer Zaara a good movie?

Yash Chopra and his son Aditya Chopra co-produced Veer-Zaara, a 2004 Indian Hindi-language period romance drama film directed by Yash Chopra. It stars Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta as the titular star-crossed lovers: Veer Pratap Singh (Khan) is a Pakistani politician’s daughter, while Zaara Hayat Khan (Zinta) is an Indian Air Force officer. Veer is imprisoned on false allegations, and his case is taken up by a young Pakistani lawyer named Saamiya Siddiqui (Rani Mukerji).

Supporting actors include Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Divya Dutta, Manoj Bajpayee, Boman Irani, Anupam Kher, and Kirron Kher. Chopra intended to return to filmmaking after a seven-year hiatus, but the screenplays he received were unsatisfactory. After thereafter, Aditya presented a few scenes from a screenplay he’d written, which piqued Chopra’s curiosity and led him to direct it.
