Is Wanted a hit movie?

Wanted released in theatres on September 18, 2009, to mostly positive reviews, with praise for the action sequences, humor, and lead cast performances. It was a commercial success, grossing over 94 crores, making it one of the year’s greatest blockbusters.

Prabhu Deva directed Wanted, a 2009 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film. Salman Khan, Ayesha Takia, and Prakash Raj star in the film, which is an official Hindi version of the Telugu film Pokiri. Vinod Khanna, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Inder Kumar play supporting roles.

The film featured special appearances by Prabhu Deva, Govinda, and Anil Kapoor. The cinematography was performed by Nirav Shah, and the editing was done by Dilip Deo. Sajid-Wajid composed the soundtracks, while Salim-Sulaiman was in charge of the background music score. The majority of the film was shot in Mumbai, with the exception of the songs, which were shot in Australia and other international nations.


The film is set in Mumbai and follows a gangster who is willing to do anything for money, including murder. His killer tendencies attract the attention of two competing gangs, one of which he joins and assists in the execution of competitors. On the other side, he tries to save his fiancée from a dishonest cop who wants to marry her against her will despite her disapproval of his aggressive behavior.

Three IIFA nominations and one Filmfare Award were given to the film. Salman Khan’s acting career was revolutionized by his performance in this film.
