Shailene Diann Woodley, an American actress, and activist was born on November 15, 1991. Woodley was born in San Bernardino, California, and reared in Simi Valley, where she began modeling and acting professionally in modest television parts at the age of four. She rose to notoriety after acting in the ABC Family drama series The Secret Life of the American Teenager (2008–2013) as Amy Juergens.

It garnered mixed to somewhat good reviews from reviewers and was mainly well received by audiences. Furthermore, with over three million viewers, the mid-season debut became ABC Family’s most-watched telecast of all time among viewers aged 12–34.
During its first season, the show won the Teen Choice Award for Favorite Summer TV Show, and a book called The Secret Diary of Ashley Juergens was published.
