What is the lowest box office movie?

By far the most important factor in deciding a film’s success is its box office performance. While a small few are able to captivate audiences with captivating storytelling, others fail miserably. From the low to the lowest-grossing films of all time, here is a list.

1.      Zyzzyx Road (2006): In February of 2006, Zyzzyx Road was released in theatres across the United States. The film’s total gross was less than your usual grocery trip, thanks to a strange title that Microsoft Word emphasizes in red, a $1.2 million budget, and an odd release plan.

2.      The Dark Hours (2005): This film spins around Samantha Goodman (Kate Greenhouse), a brain cancer-stricken doctor, who boards on a weekend tour with her husband David (Gordon Currie) and sister Melody (Iris Graham). The Dark Hours barely made $423 million in all.

3.      2:22 (2017): Two planes come dangerously near colliding when a blinding flash of light paralyzes air traffic controller Dylan Branson for a few seconds, and the consequences follow. In the case of 2:22, the film was able to raise $422.

4.      State Park (1988): Three coeds (Kim Myers, Isabelle Mejias, and James Wilder) find boyfriends in a state park where pesticides are dumped. State Park, sometimes known as Heavy Metal Summer, is a sex comedy that grossed only $421 at the box office.

5.      The Magician (2005): Scott Ryan, an Australian hitman hires a flick student to document his life. The film’s overall gross was a far less-than-magical $406 when all of the weekends were tallied together.
