Raya and the Last Dragon, Disney’s 59th feature film, is supposed to be the next installment in the Disney Princess series. Little is known about this picture, which is set to be released on March 12, 2021. The storyline will take place in the mythical kingdom of Kumandra, with the titular hero Raya searching for the final dragon in the land, according to the limited information that has been disclosed to the public.
Cassie Steele and Awkwafina are the only two actresses on the cast list that have been confirmed so far. Steele is best recognized for her act on ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation’ (2001), while Awkwafina is well-known for her roles in “Jumanji: The Next Level” (2019) and “Crazy Rich Asians” (2018).
“Raya and the Last Dragon” appears to be in capable hands since directors Dean Wellins and Paul Briggs have previously collaborated on successful Disney films including “Frozen” (2013) and “Big Hero 6.” (2014). Fans hypothesized that “Raya and the Last Dragon” will be animated in two dimensions based on early concept art revealed to the public (2D).
The majority of Disney’s original films, particularly those from the 1990s’ so-called Princess Renaissance Era, were developed utilizing 2D animation.
