Which are the lowest-rated movie on Rotten Tomatoes?

We spend a lot of time discussing the greatest films of all time, but what about the worst of all time? As much fun as dissecting vintage films might be, there’s also a lot of entertainment to be had reliving utter cinematic failures. And there’s no better place to start than Rotten Tomatoes‘ 0 percent movies.

The hugely popular movie review aggregator collects reviews from reviewers to produce a consensus score for every picture. The site ranks movies based on a range of parameters, with the best receiving the ‘certified fresh’ seal of approval and the worst receiving the label of ‘rotten.’

Rotten Tomatoes

Megaforce-1982 (0 Percent): Megaforce—about an elite army of multinational combatants equipped with high-tech weaponry—is incredibly cheesy, as this image demonstrates. Even improved action sequences and visual effects wouldn’t be enough to save this film from being the disaster it was destined to be.

Staying Alive 1983 (0 percent): Sylvester Stallone directed and co-wrote this sequel to the big 1977 hit Saturday Night Fever, which stars John Travolta, the original film’s disco king.

However, in this case, great names did not equal a big win. Despite being a box office triumph (making over $65 million domestically on a $22 million budget), reviewers hated Staying Alive. It was eventually dubbed the “worst sequel ever made” by a newspaper.

Bolero-1984 (0 percent): Bo Derek became a celebrity after appearing on the show 10 in 1979. Bolero made her a laughingstock five years later. Bolero, which was written and directed by her husband, had its leading lady trekking over the globe in search of a partner to sleep with.

The Slugger’s Wife-1985 (0 percent): The renowned Neil Simon wrote this romantic comedy about a baseball player (Michael O’Keefe) who believes his free-spirited wife (Rebecca De Mornay) is a lucky charm (The Odd Couple). Perhaps critics would have been less harsh in their appraisal of the dreadful love story if it hadn’t been accompanied by a humorous genius.
