Which is Guy Ritchie’s highest-grossing film?

Guy Stuart Ritchie, an English movie director, producer, screenwriter, actor, and businessman, was born on September 10, 1968. His credits include British gangster films and the Robert Downey Jr.-starring Sherlock Holmes films.

Walt Disney Pictures’ Aladdin is a 2019 American musical fantasy movie. It’s a live-action/CGI remake of Disney’s 1992 animated picture of the same name, which is based on the eponymous tale from One Thousand and One Nights, directed by Guy Ritchie from a script he co-wrote with John August.

Will Smith, Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, Billy Magnussen, and Numan Acar star in the movie, which also has Alan Tudyk and Frank Welker reprising their roles from prior media. The story follows a street urchin named Aladdin as he falls in love with Princess Jasmine, befriends a wish-granting Genie, and fights the evil Jafar.

On May 24, 2019, Aladdin was released in theatres across the United States. It earned more than $1 billion globally, making it the ninth highest-grossing film of the year. Critics gave the picture mixed reviews, praising the music, costume design, and performances of Smith, Massoud, and Scott, but criticizing Ritchie’s direction, CGI, and Kenzari’s portrayal of Jafar.
