Which is the last movie of David Lynch?

David Keith Lynch, an American filmmaker, painter, visual artist, singer, and writer, was born on January 20, 1946. Lynch, who got an Academy Honorary Award in 2019, has been nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Director and twice won the César Award for Best Foreign Film, as well as the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival and a Golden Lion for lifetime accomplishment at the Venice movie Festival.

David Lynch’s experimental movie Inland Empire was written, directed and co-produced in 2006. Lynch also did the photography, editing, scoring, and sound design for the film, which included music by a range of different performers. Mary Sweeney, Lynch’s longtime collaborator, and wife co-produced the picture.

Laura Dern, Justin Theroux, Harry Dean Stanton, and Grace Zabriskie are among the cast members, as are Jeremy Irons, Karolina Gruszka, Peter J. Lucas, Krzysztof Majchrzak, and Julia Ormond. A slew of other performers, including Nastassja Kinski, Laura Harring, Terry Crews, Mary Steenburgen, and William H. Macy, make cameo cameos. Excerpts from Lynch’s 2002 Rabbits internet project feature the voices of Harring, Naomi Watts, and Scott Coffey. The title is named after a Southern California urban area.

On September 6, 2006, Inland Empire premiered in Italy at the Venice Film Festival. Critics gave it generally positive but polarised reviews, with emphasis on its challenging and surrealist qualities. Cahiers du cinéma ranked it the second-best film of 2007, while Sight & Sound named it one of the ‘thirty best films of the 2000s,’ as well as The Guardian’s ‘ten most undervalued movies of the decade.’
