Paul William Walker was an American actor who was born on September 12, 1973. He is most recognized for his part in the Fast & Furious franchise as Brian O’Conner. Walker began his acting career as a child actor in the 1980s, and rose to prominence in the 1990s after starring in the television soap opera The Young and the Restless; he received critical acclaim for his roles in the teen comedy She’s All That and the comedy-drama Varsity Blues (both 1999), and achieved international acclaim for his role in The Fast and the Furious (2001). On November 30, 2013, Walker died as a result of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle incident.
