Which movie is considered the worst movie of all time?

Plan 9 from Outer Space is considered to be the worst movie of all time. Ed Wood produced, wrote, directed, and edited Plan 9 from Outer Space, a 1957 black-and-white science fiction horror film made independently in the United States. The picture was shot in November 1956, and the Carlton Theatre in Los Angeles hosted a theatrical preview screening on March 15, 1957.

It was eventually renamed Plan 9 from Outer Space and released in Texas and several other southern states on July 22, 1959, before being sold to television in 1961.

Criswell narrates the film, which stars Gregory Walcott, Mona McKinnon, Tor Johnson, and ‘Vampira’ (Maila Nurmi). It also includes a posthumous credit for Bela Lugosi. Hollywood veterans Lyle Talbot, who claimed that he never turned down an acting opportunity, and former cowboy star Tom Keene are among the other guests.

Plan 9 from Outer Space was broadcast on television in relative obscurity from 1961 until 1980 when it was deemed the ‘worst film ever made by authors Harry and Michael Medved in their book The Golden Turkey Awards. Wood and his movie received two Golden Turkey Awards after his death, for Worst Director Ever and Worst Film Ever, respectively. It has since gained a cult following and has been described as ‘the epitome of so-bad-it’s-good cinema.’
