How is the film Before I Go to Sleep?

Rowan Joffé wrote and directed the 2014 mystery psychological thriller Before I Go to Sleep, which is based on S. J. Watson’s 2011 novel of the same name. Nicole Kidman, Mark Strong, Colin Firth, and Anne-Marie Duff appear in this multinational co-production between the United Kingdom, the United States, France, and Sweden.

Christine Lucas (Nicole Kidman) has been suffering from anterograde amnesia and is unable to acquire new memories since a violent attack nearly killed her. She reacquaints herself with her spouse, Ben (Colin Firth), and the other constants in her life every morning. Christine keeps a video journal as per her doctor’s (Mark Strong) recommendations. Christine begins to doubt everything — and everyone — around her as she uncovers horrifying secrets about her history.

On November 16, 2012, Kidman told The Hollywood Reporter that she wants to collaborate with Colin Firth again. They had previously collaborated on the drama The Railway Man. On February 6, 2013, it was announced that Firth would join the cast as the co-lead with Kidman.
