Principal photography took place in Philadelphia and New York City from October to December 2010 on a $30 million budget. The nights and early mornings of November 17, 18, and 19 were used to film sequences on Broad Street in Philadelphia. For a scenario simulating a class in China, a class from a Catholic school in downtown Philadelphia was used.

Until the day he throws a fixed match, Luke Wright (Jason Statham) is a two-bit cage fighter. The Russian mob murders his family and destroys his life in retribution. Despite being alone and beset by grief, Luke takes action to save a Chinese girl (Catherine Chan) from the same thugs who murdered his family and finds himself in the thick of a high-stakes battle. The girl isn’t your typical kid; she’s a math prodigy who has a numerical code in her head that several factions are willing to murder for.
