Sarah Elizabeth Sanders, also known as Sarah Sanders and Sarah Huckabee Sanders, is an American political analyst and politician who was born on August 13, 1982. She was the 31st White House press secretary, serving from 2017 to 2019 under President Donald Trump. She was the third woman to hold the position of Secretary of State. Sanders previously worked on her father, Arkansas governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee’s, electoral campaigns, and then served as a senior advisor on Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. Sanders is a gubernatorial contender in Arkansas in 2022.
She was a vociferous advocate of the Trump administration as press secretary, and she had a tense relationship with the White House press corps. She admits making misleading statements to the public as of press secretary when examined by investigators as part of the Mueller investigation. Sanders has held fewer press conferences than any of the past 13 press secretaries at the White House.
Trump announced on Twitter in June 2019 that Sanders would be stepping down as press secretary at the end of the month. She launched her candidacy for governor of Arkansas in 2022 on January 25, 2021. Sarah Elizabeth Huckabee was born in Hope, Arkansas, on August 13, 1982. She has two brothers, John Mark Huckabee and David Huckabee, and is the youngest child and only daughter of Mike Huckabee and Janet Huckabee (née McCain).
Sanders was named one of Time magazine’s ’40 under 40′ in politics in 2010. She, like other of her White House colleagues, has been mocked on Saturday Night Live, where Aidy Bryant plays her. During her father’s presidential campaign in 2008, Huckabee met Bryan Sanders. He was hired as a media consultant, and she was the campaign’s field director. In 2010, the couple tied the knot. They are the parents of three children. The Red Hen restaurant incident began on Friday, June 22, 2018, when a co-owner of a 26-seat restaurant in Lexington, Virginia, 200 miles (320 kilometers) from Washington, D.C., requested Sanders to leave because he worked for the Trump administration.
