Who was Ariel’s mom in The Little Mermaid?

In Disney’s 2008 animated feature The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning, a prequel to the 1989 picture The Little Mermaid, Queen Athena plays a crucial role. Queen Athena was the mother of Ariel and her six older sisters, as well as the wife of King Triton. She was the Queen of Atlantica, and her family and followers adored her. Her vocal ability and passion for music were well-known. Triton and she had been great friends since they were children.

Unfortunately, she died when Ariel was quite little as a result of a run-in with a large pirate ship, fueling her husband’s hate for humans and leaving him bereaved. With long, red hair tied in a half ponytail, emerald eyes, and an aqua tail, Queen Athena is a strikingly gorgeous and lovely mermaid. Athena appears right at the start of the movie.

She and Triton appear to be much in love. They are depicted singing a special song (dubbed Athena’s Song) together. Triton is terribly crushed at Athena’s death. As a result, he throws the music box into the sea, forbids music in the kingdom, forbids contact with the land above, and raises his daughters with extreme caution.
