For more than three decades, Pixar has delighted children and audiences alike with a variety of films set in a variety of locales, ranging from the heroic antics of “The Incredibles” to the oceanic realm of ‘Finding Nemo,’ and even the dystopian future of ‘Wall-E.’ The ‘Toy Story‘ franchise, on the other hand, has probably always been Pixar’s main property. The story of Woody, Buzz, and the rest of Andy’s (and now Bonnie’s) toys is one of Pixar’s most cherished works, with 2019’s “Toy Story 4” likely bringing the franchise to a close.
With that in mind, let’s look at what we do know about ‘Toy Story 5,’ including the release date and possible actors, as well as any storyline specifics that may arise.
Pixar has yet to confirm ‘Toy Story 5’ as of this writing. As a result, there is currently no official release date to speak of. However, we do know that Pixar is currently planning to release ‘Turning Red’ and ‘Lightyear’ in 2022, as well as an untitled picture in 2023.
With such affirmations in mind and the fact that Pixar films take a long time to produce after their formal announcements, it seems logical to anticipate that “Toy Story 5” will be released at least a few years from now.
