Is Kurbaan a good movie?

Kurbaan is a 2009 Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Rensil D’Silva and produced by Dharma Productions. The film Starring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, the story spins about Avantika Ahuja (Kapoor), a psychology professor in New York who returns to Delhi, India. The central theme of the film is worldwide terrorism.

Between the winters of 2008 and 2009, the film was shot in Philadelphia, Brooklyn, New York City, Delhi, and Mumbai. Salim-Sulaiman composed the background score for the soundtrack CD. Vaibhavi Merchant choreographed the song sequences. The dialogues were written by Anurag Kashyap and lyricist Niranjan Iyengar.

The film’s direction, storyline, music, and performances by Kapoor and Kirron Kher all garnered favorable reviews from critics. The Box Office of India, on the other hand, declared it a flop. Kurbaan is one of the slickest-looking films to come out of Bollywood this year, and it’s worth seeing solely for the stunning graphics.

Despite the film’s economic failure, the music was nominated for various accolades, including the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer, which was won by Salim Merchant and Sonu Nigam. Kapoor was also nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. In India, the film was released in 1250 theatres. The total international gross was estimated to be over Rupees 429 million.
