Phool Aur Kaante is a Hindi-language action romance film from India that was released in 1991. Ajay Devgn, Madhoo, Aruna Irani, Jagdeep, and Amrish Puri are among the cast members.
Ajay Devgn, son of late stunt and action choreographer Veeru Devgan, and Madhoo, niece of actress Hema Malini, made their cinematic debuts in this film. The film was a smash hit, and Ajay Devgn received the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut in 1991 for his performance. Varasudu is a Telugu remake of this film. The film is loosely inspired by Sibi Malayil’s Malayalam film Parampara, in which Mammootty plays both Johnny, the protagonist, and Lawrence, his father.
Nageshwar alias “Don” (Amrish Puri) is the kingpin of a massive criminal organization. Ajay (Ajay Devgn) is his only child. Pooja (Madhoo), Ajay’s wife, is also interested in putting a halt to the illicit activities. When Nageshwar begins to exhibit signs of aging, he decides that Ajay should take over as his successor.
However, a number of Nageshwar’s allies are dissatisfied, enraged, and skeptical of Ajay’s decision, and as a result, they kidnap Ajay’s young boy, Gopal, under the leadership of Shankar Dhanraj. Will Nageshwar be able to secure his grandson’s release, or will he be yet another victim of his ’empire’? What are Ajay’s and his wife’s reactions going to be? The music duo Nadeem Shravan composed the soundtrack for Phool Aur Kaante. Sameer and Rani Malik collaborated on the lyrics.
