Actress Aanchal Goswami, who is currently shooting for her latest television show Rishton Ka Manjha in the city, says she loves eating Kolkata biryani and is thrilled to see yellow taxis on the streets.
Sharing her experience of shooting in Kolkata, Aanchal said that I was told that Kolkata biryani is very famous. So after coming here I tasted the biryani and liked it. I haven’t got much time to travel around the city yet. Even because of the lockdown. However, I got an opportunity to visit a few places like Howrah Bridge during the shoot.
Apart from this, till now I had only seen yellow taxis on TV, the actress said. It was fascinating to me to watch the yellow taxis in front of my eyes. I am loving this city and enjoying working here.
Aanchal is in Rishton Ka Manjha as the lead actress. Throwing light on her character in the show, she shared that I am playing a character named Diya Mukherjee. He is from a middle-class family. Diya likes to play badminton. She is full of positivity and never gives up. She doesn’t give up easily. She loves her family so much that she would do anything for them.
However, for Aanchal, Diya Mukherjee is a mirror image of herself with a completely different name.
She shared that when I was offered this character, I was overjoyed as it is similar to me. I am also a very positive person and do not give up easily in life. It was not difficult for me to handle it at all. This character we are sharing because of the similarities.
Since her screen character Diya is a badminton player, Aanchal Goswami has to hone her skills for the show.
The actress said that I have played badminton in school, but not at the professional level. But since my character Diya is a badminton player, I had to learn the skills of the game like how to smash, how to serve etc.
She has seen in the lead role for the first time in Rishton Ka Manjha.
