Reports suggest that Aditya Chopra is building a larger-than-life character arc for Jr NTR, making him a key player in the YRF Spy Universe. His role won’t be limited to War 2, but will extend into solo films, crossovers, and spin-offs, much like Pathaan and Tiger before him.
Insiders reveal that his character will have equal narrative weight as those played by Hrithik Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan. This expansion shows YRF’s commitment to integrating the South superstar into the heart of its cinematic universe.
To mark the excitement, Hrithik teased something big for Jr NTR on May 20—his birthday. “You have no idea what’s in store,” he wrote. Jr NTR responded playfully, promising a “return gift.”
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 releases on August 14, 2025. Meanwhile, the next YRF installment will be the female-led Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, arriving Christmas 2025.
