Aamir Khan is all set to return to the silver screen with Sitare Zameen Par, a spiritual sequel to his acclaimed 2007 film Taare Zameen Par. While the upcoming film will feature an entirely new story and characters, it will continue to explore the lives of children with special needs—this time through the lens of sports and perseverance.
Directed by R.S. Prasanna, Sitare Zameen Par is a heartfelt sports drama that revolves around ten central characters, several of whom will be portrayed by actors with Down syndrome, autism, and other special abilities. Aamir Khan has cast specially-abled actors to bring authenticity and emotional depth to the narrative.
Starring Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in lead roles, the film has been shot across Mumbai, New Delhi, and Vadodara.
