75th Independence Day: Bollywood stars have the passion for patriotism

Today the whole country is celebrating the 75th Independence Day. Everyone is seen immersed in the colour of patriotism. Our Bollywood also considers this celebration full of gusto. One reason for this is that there are many stars here who come from the background of the Indian Army. The spirit of patriotism is in the blood of these stars. Many of these actors are also such whose family members lost their lives in defence of the country.

Patriotism runs in Akshay’s blood. Because he was born to an army officer, Akshay Kumar always wanted to serve in the armed forces. The actor has always been a fitness enthusiast and has also founded an online initiative called Bharat Ke Veer, where one can contribute towards the families of courageous soldiers who laid down their lives to protect the nation.

The closest to becoming an army officer was Akshay playing the role of a naval officer in Rustom and an army officer in Holiday and now in Tumhare Hawala Watan Saathi’s. The actor also took to Twitter to pay respects to the dead soldiers on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day.

The King Khan of Bollywood was born into a family of freedom fighters and wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. Destiny changed their course and he came to Mumbai to become an actor. In his first TV series Fauji in 1989, he played the role of an Indian soldier. Although not unbroken, continued acting in films such as Sena (1996) and Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012). Shah Rukh explained his reverence for the armed forces in an interview with a news Channel.
Like her father, Nimrat Kaur aspired to serve in the army. For him, wearing an olive-green uniform was a matter of pride but he soon realized that it was not an easy task. After closely observing his father’s life with all the intense training and hardships, he changed his mind. Nimrat recently wrapped up the shooting of the web series, The Test Case, in which she plays the role of an army officer Shikha Sharma. He took to Twitter to share his undying love for the armed forces.
