Who were the actors in the 1981 film, Chashme Buddoor?

Farooq Sheikh, Deepti Naval, Rakesh Bedi, Ravi Baswani, and Saeed Jaffrey starred in the 1981 Indian romantic comedy-buddy film Chashme Buddoor. Gul Anand and his sister Jayshree Anand – Makhija produced the film, which is directed by Sai Paranjpye.

The plot revolves around three Delhi University students, Siddharth (Farooq Shaikh), Omi (Rakesh Bedi), and Jai (Ravi Baswani), who refuse to return home during the summer holiday, and how a girl named Neha (Deepti Naval) enters their life.

Chashme Buddoor

On April 5, 2013, both the remake directed by David Dhawan and the original digitally restored film was released. Yesudas and Hemanti Shukla sang the Indu Jain lyrics, which were composed by Raj Kamal and sang by Yesudas and Hemanti Shukla.

Raj Kamal composed all of the songs, which were written by Indu Jain. K. J. Yesudas and Haimanti Sukla are the singers. ‘Kahan Se Aaye Badra,’ sung by K. J. Yesudas and Haimanti Sukla, is a popular song from the film.

Indru Poi Naalai Vaa, a 1981 film directed by K. Bhagyaraj, had a plot that was identical to this one. Some parts from this film were used in Priyadarshan’s 1984 Malayalam film Odaruthammava Aalariyam.
