Kirti Kulhari is a strong woman who believes in speaking her mind. The actress is known for giving power-packed performances in films like Mission Mangal, Pink, Uri: The Surgical Strike and others spoke about pay disparity in Bollywood and said she’s paid more than her male counterparts.
Kirti often shares insights on topics related to films and web series. Recently, during a panel discussion with a leading daily, the actress talked about pay disparity in the film industry. The actress shared that she believes she earns more than her male counterparts. However, she is not sure of the exact numbers.
“In my opinion, as I understand, the projects that I am a part of and the projects that I am leading; I think I am paid more than my male counterparts. For sure. I do not know the numbers, but (this is) the general idea that I have. Shows that I am leading, I am surely getting paid either the most or at least more than my male counterparts,” said Kirti.
Kirti announced separation from husband Saahil
Earlier this year, Kirti issued a statement on Instagram to announce that she and her husband Saahil Sehgal have mutually decided to separate. However, the separation is not on paper but in life.
“A simple note to let everyone know that my husband Saahil Sehgal and I have decided to separate. Not on paper, but in life. A decision that’s probably harder than the decision of ‘being with somebody,’ because coming together is celebrated by everyone you love and care about,” a part of her statement read.
