In an another interesting tale of casting actors for big-ticket movies where the actors approached first say no while another actors walk in and make it the former’s loss, we have an interesting story around Stree. The horror-comedy directed by Amar Kaushik released in 2018 and was a box-office blockbuster. It starred Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles and was a huge success along with being an anchor for setting a benchmark for horror-comedy universe of movies.
Before Shraddha Kapoor made box-office history with Stree, it’s still a hidden fact in the vault of casting stories of B-Town that Taapsee Pannu was offered the movie first by Amar Kaushik. While Taapsee went on to say no to the film and it was next offered to Shraddha and we believe whatever happens, happens for the best because we cant imagine anyone else than her to play the titular role in Stree. The film still remains one of the monumental box-office successes for Shraddha and we can’t wait for Stree 2. The cast and crew of Stree 2 is currently shooting for the sequel of this movie from the horror-comedy universe in full force. Apart from Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, the film also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurrana.
To sum it up, an actor’s gain is another actor’s loss and in this case, we ain’t complaining!
