Sonu Sood took to social media today (September 20) and broke his silence with a statement. The Income Tax had surveyed his properties in Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Lucknow, Kanpur, and Jaipur. In his statement, he stated that time will tell his side of the story. The actor further added that he had pledged himself to the service of the people of the nation and will continue helping people through his foundation.
Recently, the Income Tax department conducted a survey at Sonu Sood’s properties. Now, he has released a statement regarding the same. “You don’t always have to tell your side of the story. Time will. I have pledged myself to the service of the people of India with all my strength and heart. Every rupee in my foundation is awaiting its turn to save a precious life and reach the needy,” he wrote in a statement.
He added, “In addition, on many occasions, I have encouraged brands to donate my endorsement fees for humanitarian causes too, which keeps us going. I have been busy attending to a few guests hence was unable to be at your service, for the last 4 days. Here I am back again in all humility. At your humble service, for life. Kar bhala, ho bhala Ant bhale ka sab bhala (if you do good, good things will happen, all’s well that ends well).”

For the unversed, the Income Tax department has raided Sonu Sood’s properties over an unearthed tax evasion of Rs 20 crore and other irregularities. Besides, he has violated the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) by raising over 2 crore rupees from overseas donors.
