Which is the number 1 DC movie?

The Dark Knight, which was released in 2008 and grossed over a billion dollars worldwide, is the highest-grossing DC comic movie version of all time. Christopher Nolan directed, produced, and co-wrote The Dark Knight, a superhero picture released in 2008. The movie is the second episode of Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy and a sequel to 2005’s Batman Begins and is based on the DC Comics character Batman.

Christian Bale stars alongside Michael Caine, Heath Ledger, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Morgan Freeman in the picture. In the movie, Bruce Wayne / Batman (Bale), Police Lieutenant James Gordon (Oldman), and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Eckhart) form an alliance to combat organized crime in Gotham City, but they are threatened by the Joker (Ledger), an anarchistic mastermind who seeks to undermine Batman’s power and throw the city into chaos.

The movie was inspired by the Joker’s first appearance in a comic book, the 1988 graphic novel The Killing Joke, and the 1996 television series The Long Halloween, which recounted Harvey Dent’s origin story. The movie received critical acclaim for its screenplay, visual effects, musical score, mature themes, performances (particularly Ledger’s), cinematography, action sequences, and direction, and was considered one of the best movies of its decade and one of the greatest and most influential movies of all time. During its theatrical run, the picture also set several records.

It was the fourth-highest-grossing movie at the time and the highest-grossing film of 2008, making over $1 billion globally; it had also established the record for the highest-grossing domestic opening with $158 million. The film got eight nominations at the 81st Academy Awards, winning Best Sound Editing and posthumously awarding Ledger Best Supporting Actor.
