Who is Farah Naaz?

Farah Naaz Hashmi, better known by her stage name Farah, was a popular Bollywood actress in the mid-1980s and early 1990s. She is Tabu’s elder sister. She was born in a Hyderabadi Muslim family to Jamal Ali Hashmi and Rizwana. Shabana Azmi, Tanvi Azmi, and Baba Azmi are her nieces.

Farha made her acting debut in the Yash Chopra film ‘Faasle’ in 1985. Naseeb Apna Apna (1986), Imaandaar (1987), Woh Phir Aayegi, Naqab (1989), Yateem (1988), Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri (1990), Begunaah (1991), Bhai Ho To Aisa (1995), and Sautela Bhai (1995) were among Farha’s notable films.

After her first marriage in 1996, she retired from acting, however she did return to do a few television serials later. Rajesh Khanna, Rishi Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Deol, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Aamir Khan, Mithun Chakraborty, Govinda, and Aditya Pancholi were among the greatest actors of her time. Shakti Samanta’s Palay Khan, K.C. Bokadia’s Naseeb Apna Apna, and Pran Lal Mehta’s Love 86 were among the many significant offers she received.

Farah married actor Vindu Dara Singh in 1996 and has a son named Fateh Randhawa with him. In 2002, the couple divorced. In 2003, she married fellow Bollywood and television actor Sumeet Saigal for the second time.
