Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is a Hindi-language buddy road comedy-drama film directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the Excel Entertainment banner in 2011. Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif, and Kalki Koechlin are among the film’s ensemble cast members.
On a budget of Rupees 450 million (US$6.0 million), it was shot in Spain, India, Egypt, and the United Kingdom. Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy composed the music and background soundtrack, and Javed Akhtar wrote the words.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was supposed to be released on May 27, 2011, however, due to technical difficulties with post-production work, it was pushed back to June 24 and then again to July 15, 2011. The film was a critical and commercial success, grossing $1.53 billion (US$20 million) worldwide and receiving critical acclaim for its actors, script, music, humor, and director. The film was nominated for and won various accolades after its theatrical release, including two National Film Awards. The movie is now available to stream on Netflix.
Our crew trained the three principal actors, Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan, and Abhay Deol, for their skydives. Farhan keeps returning to Skydive Empuriabrava and has completed well over 100 jumps! “I can skydive!” says one of the motivations for making the film.
