How is the movie Conjuring?

The Conjuring is a supernatural horror movie directed by James Wan and written by Chad Hayes and Carey W. Hayes that was released in the United States in 2013. It is the first installment in The Conjuring Universe series. Ed and Lorraine Warren, paranormal investigators and authors linked to major haunting cases, are played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga.

Their allegedly true stories inspired the story and film franchise The Amityville Horror. The Warrens help the Perron family, who had been experiencing increasingly distressing happenings at their Rhode Island farmhouse in 1971. The Warren Files later renamed The Conjuring, is based on the alleged real-life exploits of Ed and Lorraine Warren, a married couple who investigated paranormal events. Production on the movie began in January 2012, and reports confirmed Wan as the director.

The Conjuring

Patrick Wilson co-starred with Vera Farmiga in the lead roles of Ed and Lorraine in his second collaboration with Wan. In February 2012, filming began in Wilmington, North Carolina, and sequences were shot in chronological order.

Warner Bros. released The Conjuring in the United States and Canada on July 19, 2013. New Line Cinema and Pictures Critics complimented the actors, director, storyline, atmosphere, and musical score, and it earned favorable reviews. Despite a $20 million budget, it generated nearly $319 million worldwide. On June 10, 2016, a sequel, The Conjuring 2, was released.
