Aksar 2 is a thriller drama film directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan and produced by Chirag and Narendra Bajaj under the brand of Siddhivinayak Creations in India. Mithoon composed the soundtrack for the film, and Sayeed Quadri wrote the lyrics. Gautam Rode, Abhinav Shukla, Zareen Khan, Mohit Madaan, S. Sreesanth, and Lillete Dubey play key roles in the film. On November 17th, 2017, Aksar 2 was released worldwide.
Aksar 2 (2017) is the second edition of a popular franchise that began with Emraan Hashmi, Udita Goswami, and Dino Morea in Aksar (2006). Ananth Mahadevan has made a strong comeback with this chapter of the film, which is equally gripping and dramatic.
Aksar 2 is just an average thriller movie. There was a lot of potentials for it to be turned into a dark and sexy drama, but that didn’t happen. The plot could have used some fine-tuning as well. The alternation of the conspirators between deliberate planning and rash behavior could have been eliminated, and the product placement could have been more discreet. The film got a poor opening collection with only 0.8 Crore, 9.2 Crore as total net collection, and 12.0 Crore Worldwide gross collection.
