Mission Majnu is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language spy thriller film directed by Shantanu Bagchi and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala, and Garima Mehta under the banners of RSVP Movies and Guilty By Association Media LLP. It is written by Parveez Shaikh, Aseem Arora, and Sumit Batheja and written by Parveez Shaikh, Aseem Arora, and Sumit Batheja. Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna play key roles in the film. Rashmika Mandanna makes her Bollywood debut in this flick.
The film’s formal announcement was made on December 23, 2020, and principal photography commenced on February 6, 2021, in Lucknow.
According to the filmmakers, Operation Majnu is based on true events that occurred in the 1970s and tells the narrative of India’s most daring mission into Pakistan’s heartland, which forever transformed the two countries’ relationship. “Mission Majnu is a patriotic tale inspired by genuine events that glorify the hard work of RAW agents who go out of their way to defend the citizens of our country,” Sidharth had previously stated about the film.
Rashmika made her acting debut at the age of 19 in the 2016 film Kirik Party, which received critical and audience acclaim and went on to become the highest-grossing picture of the year, grossing 50 crores against a production budget of 4 crores and playing for 250 days in Karnataka’s big theatres.
