Rocky Handsome is a 2016 Indian Bollywood Hindi-language thriller film directed by Nishikant Kamat, written by Ritesh Shah, and produced by J. A. Entertainment and Azure Entertainment, respectively. An official version of the Korean film The Man from Nowhere, which premiered in 2010. On March 4, 2016, the theatrical trailer was released, and the film was released on March 25, 2016.
John Abraham and Diya Chalwad star in the film, which also has Shruti Haasan, Kamat, and Sharad Kelkar in supporting parts. The plot of the film centers around a guy who seeks vengeance on the drug mafia after they kidnap an eight-year-old child with whom he has a unique affinity.
Abraham’s wife is played by Haasan, while seven-year-old Chalwad, who first appeared in Kick, has a significant role. The mother of the child is played by Nathalia Kaur, who previously appeared in Ram Gopal Varma’s Department in the item number Dan Dan Cheeni. “However, the action is the central topic of our film.”
The movie made Rupees 210 million (US$2.8 million) in its first week and Rupees 251 million (US$3.3 million) by the end of its theatrical run. Sunny Bawra, Inder Bawra, Ankit Tiwari, and Bombay Rockers composed the music for Rocky Handsome, while Kumaar, Manoj Muntashir, Abhendra Kumar Upadhyay, Sachin Pathak, Sagar Lahauri, and Shekhar Astitwa wrote the lyrics. There are seven tunes in the album.
