Is Salaam-e-Ishq a copy of ‘Love Actually’?

The storyline of Salaam-e-Ishq was inspired by the Hollywood film ‘Love Actually,’ which took two years to shoot. Nikkhil Advani directed Salaam-e-Ishq, a 2007 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film. Govinda, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Juhi Chawla, Akshaye Khanna, Ayesha Takia, John Abraham, Vidya Balan, Shannon Esra, Sohail Khan, and Isha Koppikar were among the ensemble cast.

The film connects six love stories through the relationships of the characters. After Kal Ho Naa Ho, this was Advani’s second directorial effort (2003). Because the plot incorporates multiple interconnected stories, the film was shot in Rishikesh, Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, and Hyderabad in India, as well as London, Australia, and Sri Lanka.

T-Series launched the film’s audio in 2006 at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy composed seven songs, and Sameer wrote the lyrics.

Salman and Priyanka were both chastised for their acting, with Salman being accused of sleepwalking and Priyanka of overacting. Before Sharon Esra was cast, Sonali Bendre was set to star with Govinda in the film. Though they didn’t have many parts together, Govinda, Anil, Juhi, and Salman from Deewana Mastana appeared in the film. The only film in which Akshaye Khanna and Salman Khan appeared together, but there were no scenes in which they appeared together.
