When was the Ajnabee film released?

Abbas-Mustan directed and Vijay Galani produced Ajnabee, a 2001 Indian Hindi-language mystery thriller film. Johnny Lever, Dalip Tahil, Narendra Bedi, and Sharat Saxena play supporting parts alongside Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Bipasha Basu.

The film is an adaptation of Alan J. Pakula’s 1992 American thriller Consenting Adults. It was Akshay Kumar’s second film with Abbas-Mustan after Khiladi and Bobby Deol’s second film with Abbas-Mustan after Soldier.

It garnered mixed to excellent reviews from reviewers upon its initial release, and it was a box office smash. However, both critics and spectators loved Akshay Kumar’s performance. Anu Malik composed the soundtrack for Ajnabee, and Sameer wrote the lyrics. Tips Music is the label behind it.

Originally, Mahek Chahal was cast in the character of Neeta (Fake Sonia), but Bipasha Basu was cast in the role. On the Indian-owned cruise liner Ocean Majesty, the film’s climax was shot in Muscat, Dubai, and Bahrain. The film earned a total of Rupees 31.83 crores globally.

After a whirlwind relationship, Raj (Bobby Deol) and Priya (Kareena Kapoor) meet by coincidence and fall in love. They married and settle in Switzerland, where they meet Vikram (Akshay Kumar) and Sonia, an Indian couple (Bipasha Basu). The couples rapidly become friends and plan to travel to Mauritius for a Christmas break.
