According to the reports, Sushant Singh Rajput is the most searched celebrity in 2020. Yahoo issued its 2020 Year in Review list in December last year, which included the top search terms – persons and events – for the year. This review is the result of a daily user search. The ranking highlighted that Indians were particularly interested in learning about stars’ personal lives, with Sushant Singh Rajput, who passed away in 2020, topped the list of the year’s most popular searches in India.
Sushant Singh Rajput was named India’s most searched personality of the year and most searched male celebrity by Yahoo, while Rhea Chakraborty was named India’s most searched female celebrity.
SSR, an Indian actor best known for his performances in Hindi films, was born on January 21, 1986. M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016), Kedarnath (2018), and Chhichhore (2019) were among his commercially successful Bollywood films. He got a Screen Award and was nominated for the Filmfare Awards three times for his contributions to the Indian Cinema. Since 2017, he has appeared twice on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list.
He began his career in the theatre industry in Mumbai after dropping out of his engineering studies at the Delhi College of Engineering. He then went on to appear in Hindi television serials, with his first appearance being in the romantic drama Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (2008), followed by a lead role in the soap opera Pavitra Rishta (2009–2011). Sushant, 34, was found dead, hanging from a ceiling fan at his Bandra, Mumbai, house on June 14, 2020, and India lost one of its gems on that day.
