In an exclusive conversation with us, actor Gulshan Devaiah spoke candidly about embracing authenticity, breaking stereotypes, and his experiences in the film industry.
Appreciated for his honesty and unfiltered views, Gulshan shared that he doesn’t get offended if someone calls him gay, adding that being gay is completely normal. “As an actor, I play all kinds of characters. If someone calls me an idiot, that would offend me — but being called gay doesn’t, even though I’m straight,” he said, highlighting the importance of normalizing such conversations.
During the chat, Gulshan also recalled a lighthearted moment from the sets of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, where director Sanjay Leela Bhansali asked him to fall like Shah Rukh Khan in a particular scene. Laughing about it, he said he jokingly replied that he might need back surgery if he tried to recreate that iconic SRK fall.
With his blend of wit, humility, and sincerity, Gulshan Devaiah continues to stand out as one of Bollywood’s most grounded and self-aware talents.
