The highly anticipated film Hera Pheri 3 has been embroiled in controversy following Paresh Rawal’s sudden exit. Director Priyadarshan has now spoken out about the incident, expressing his surprise and disappointment over the actor’s decision to leave the film without prior notice.
According to Priyadarshan, the film’s production had begun smoothly, with all three lead actors – Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal – confirming their availability before the shoot. The team even completed a day’s worth of filming without any issues. However, Paresh Rawal’s exit came as a shock, with the actor not providing any explanation or communication to the director.
Priyadarshan clarified that there were no apparent tensions between the actors during the filming of their recent project, Bhoot Bangla, where Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal worked together without any issues. The director emphasized that if Paresh Rawal had any concerns, he should have discussed them with the team.
Regarding reports of Akshay Kumar filing a claim of ₹25 crores against Paresh Rawal, Priyadarshan stated that Akshay Kumar, as the rights holder and producer of the film, is the primary party affected by Paresh Rawal’s exit. The director expressed his confusion over the situation, stating that he is unaware of the specifics of the issue between Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, as neither party has communicated with him about it.
