Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi met during the coronavirus-induced lockdown, according to sources, and got along swimmingly. After a few months of getting to know each other, the two decided to live together. Dia has previously married Sahil Sangha.
Dia Mirza married her partner Vaibhav Rekhi on February 15, 2021. Only close friends and family members were present for the wedding, which was held in an intimate setting. While the actor’s photos in a traditional red Banarsi saree have gone viral, one of the videos from her wedding ceremony is evoking strong emotions among her followers.
Aditi Rao Hydari, Dia’s companion, also uploaded a photo of herself stealing Vaibhav’s shoes for the customary ‘joota-churai’ ceremony. Her friends also posted pictures of the venue, which was elegantly decked with white flowers.
Dia also gave out sweets to the paparazzi who had gathered outside Dia’s house to catch a peek of the newlyweds after the ceremony. “Ma’am, ask sir to come too,” a cameraperson asks Dia in one of the recordings, to which the Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein star responds, “Sir bahut shy hai (He is really shy).”
