Is Pallavi Sharda from Australia?

Pallavi Sharda, an Australian actress of Indian origin and a classical Indian Bharatha Natyam dancer, was born on March 5, 1988. Her filmography includes the Oscar-nominated Lion (2016), the Bollywood flicks Begum Jaan (2017) and Hawaizaada (2015), as well as the Australian comedy, Save Your Legs! (2012). My Name Is Khan, Dus Tola, Besharam, Hawaizaada, and Begum Jaan are some of the Hindi films in which she has appeared. She starred in Tom & Jerry in 2021.

Sharda got her start in Bollywood with a cameo in Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan (2010). Sharda was named Miss India Australia in Sydney in March 2010. She then starred in the comedy-drama film Dus Tola (2010), in which she played Geeta, a local dance teacher, opposite famed actor Manoj Bajpayee.

Sharda was the principal performer in Shruti Merchant’s theatrical musical Taj Express in 2011 and 2012. She made her cinematic debut in Australia with the comedy Save Your Legs, which was released on February 28, 2013. Sharda starred alongside Dev Patel and Nicole Kidman in the 2016 Hollywood blockbuster Lion. Begum Jaan, her next Bollywood film, was released in April 2017.

Sharda received the ‘Rising Star’ award from the Casting Guild of Australia for her performance in ABC Australia’s medical drama Pulse.
